Hajime Shoji: Digital Presence for a Japanese Silk Mill
Hajime Shoji is a traditional Japanese textile mill specializing in Oshima Tsumugi—naturally dyed silk prized for its intricate craftsmanship and cultural significance. With a desire to expand its reach, the mill needed an English-language platform that honored its heritage while highlighting its latest innovations.
I developed the brand strategy and designed a narrative-driven website that conveys Hajime Shoji’s history, techniques, and evolving craft to a global audience. The goal was to create a bridge between cultural preservation and contemporary relevance.
